Mr. Lewis Johnson is currently an Advisor with Bell Potter Securities Limited - a Member Firm of the ASX - and a Director of Bell Asset Management Ltd.
Mr Johnson has had over 35 years experience in all Australian and International investment sectors, involving institutional investment / funds management, development banking (corporate / project finance, private equity/venture capital), property, and stock broking.
He has been a member of numerous investment committees, advisory and corporate boards, and a director of several Not for Profit organisations including the MS Society of Victoria, The Graduate Union of the University of Melbourne and the Melbourne Savage Club where he is currently a Vice President. He has joined the Board of the Melba Conservatorium and became a Director of the recently established Southern Cross Philharmonic Orchestra.
Lewis was born in Charters Towers Queensland and attended All Souls’ Anglican School there and completed secondary education as a boarder at Brisbane Grammar School from 1960-1963.
He is a graduate of the University of Melbourne (B.Comm) and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD)
For the past 21 years he has had direct investment management responsibility for a large successful balanced retirement fund and been actively involved in stockbroking. He is currently an Advisor with Bell Potter Securities Limited - a Member Firm of the ASX - and a Director of Bell Asset Management Ltd.
He is active and well known in the resources and energy industries, with strong personal and professional connections particularly in the exploration and emerging producer sectors in both minerals and energy and active in the Property Industry as a Director of Valad Core Plus Management Ltd, Vulcann Ltd, Folkestone Docklands Pty Ltd.
He is a Director and shareholder of Gladysdale Vineyards Pty Ltd, a former Director of Ceramic Funds Management Ltd and the Australian Subsidiary of a Japanese property company for some 10 years.
