VESKI Awards

VESKI offers awards in addition to its fellowships where individuals, groups or organisations can request financial assistance for activities in science, design and innovative technologies.

Applicants must demonstrate how their proposal contributes to VESKI’s objective to enhance Victoria’s intellectual capital through:

1. Bringing Outstanding Individuals to Victoria
2. Community Awareness Campaigns
3. Fostering a Culture of Innovators; and
4. Establishing and Managing a Support Infrastructure.

VESKI Awards are between $5,000 and $30,000.

In the area of design, VESKI Awards support Australian talent to showcase their design excellence on a global stage. Awards are made to outstanding Victorian designers to take part in international exhibitions and fairs. Upon their return to Victoria, the designers share their experiences with the local community through workshops, symposiums, exhibitions and lectures.  It is another way of reinforcing the message that Victoria has something special to offer the rest of the world.

VESKI Awards in Design include:

• VESKI Awards in Design 2009 - Design Thinking;
• VESKI Awards in Design 2009 - Stephen Kieran;
• VESKI Awards in Design 2008;
• VESKI Represented in New Trends Exhibition;
• VESKI Funds AGIdeas Program 2007;
• The City of Milan 2005 Award for Young Foreign Designers; and
• New Trends in Architecture in Europe and Asia Pacific 2004-05.

Both programs involved travelling exhibitions which returned to Victoria, Australia as well as seminars and workshops.

VESKI Awards in Science include:

• VESKI supports 5th World Conference of Science Journalists.
