Overview 2018 STEM sidebyside

The 8-month inspiring women STEM sidebyside program came to a close on Tuesday, 16 October 2018. The program was developed and led by veski and Monash University with the support of the British Consulate General Melbourne – spanning Higher Education, Government and Innovation Sectors.
Since its official launch by former Minister for Innovation and the Digital Economy, Philip Dalidakis in March 2018 – the three separate, parallel streams have engaged in a wide variety of masterclasses, workshops, panel discussions and networking sessions – all designed to explicitly target women at various stages in their study and careers to progress into their full potential.
The 30 selected Leading the Way participants and the 10 selected Stamina participants engaged in 6 sessions covering the following topics:

- Pathways to Entrepreneurship - Elpis Barons, Georgia Beattie, Angeline Achariya

The Empowering You stream saw upwards of a 100 female STEM students in each of the 3 sessions covering the following topics:

The inspiring women STEM sidebyside program is an initiative to support women in the STEM industries that is led by veski and Monash University with the support of the British Consulate General Melbourne. This dynamic program is designed to empower women at different career stages with the skills, networks and mindset to develop and achieve their career goals within STEM industries.
