2019 veski fast smarts Innovator of the Year
With an audience of over 200, on Wednesday 22 May 2019 - veski fast smarts was delivered for the third and final time as part of the 2019 Melbourne Knowledge Week at Deakin Edge, Federation Square.
The curated innovation showcase did not disappoint serving up a night of inspiration and innovation.
Congratulations to Mr Daniel Prohasky from Curvecrete as the 2019 veski fast smarts Innovator of the Year pictured here receiving the award from veski director Mrs Jessica Lightfoot and veski MD & chief executive Ms Julia L Page.
Over the course of the evening, nine of Melbourne’s best and brightest rose to the challenge of telling their story through a rapid fire presentation format – 20 slides, displayed for 19 seconds each vying for the title of 2019 veski fast smarts Innovator of the Year.
Innovations included a possible cancer treatment using gold, finding new ways of combating climate change through infrastructure and utilizing coffee waste, and even converting yourself into a robot to be in two places at once - check out all of the Innovators here.
The Innovators were joined by an impressive line-up of panelists who provided their on-the-spot feedback - recapping the presentations to assist the audience as they cast their vote via an online poll for the 2019 veski fast smarts Innovator of the Year!
Ms Zione Walker-Nthenda - lawyer and social entrepreneur - was the master of ceremonies and kept the night flowing...
veski teamed up with Yoinki for simple, easy to give donations towards the veski foundation for supporting sustainable agriculture fellowships to fund globally competitive innovators to conduct cutting edge, collaborative research.
veski fast smarts was delivered as a key activity celebrating 15years of inspiring innovation.
This premier event is part of Melbourne Knowledge Week, 20-26 May 2019, proudly presented by the City of Melbourne.
