Google's Leeder to deliver next RMIT Business Lecture

The Managing Director of Google in Australia and New Zealand, Nick Leeder will deliver the first RMIT Business Lecture for the year on Wednesday, 20 February 2013.

The lecture entitled ‘Creating the Silicon Beach – how Australia can supercharge its digital economy through innovation’ continues the long-running RMIT Business Lecture series which will again be supported by veski and Ernst & Young.

The lectures attract senior representatives from the government, business and education sectors and are part of veski’s activities to promote innovation in Victoria.

As the Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand Nick Leeder is responsible for Google’s sales and business development operations in both countries.

He started at Google in March 2011. Nick worked previously at News Limited, where he was COO of News Digital Media since 2006 and Deputy CEO of The Australian. Prior to joining News, Nick worked at Fairfax and at McKinsey & Co.

He holds a degree in pure mathematics from the University of Sydney and has a Masters in Business Administration from INSEAD in France.

The event is being held on Wednesday, 20 February 2013 from 7.15am to 9.00am at Ernst & Young, Level 23, 8 Exhibition Street, Melbourne. A light breakfast will be served.
