Dr Karyn Jarvis
Leading the Way participant
Research Engineer
Swinburne University of Technology
Dr Karyn Jarvis is a research engineer at the Swinburne University of Technology, managing their Australian National Fabrication Facility (ANFF-Vic) Biointerface Engineering Hub. She has previously held postdoctoral appointments at the University of South Australia and the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation.
In her current role, Karyn is responsible for managing a suite of thin film deposition and characterisation tools which involves training users, conducting research that supports the hub, working on industry projects and promoting the hub. Karyn is passionate about improving university/industry research relationships.

The inspiring women STEM sidebyside program is an initiative to support women in the STEM industries that is led by veski and Monash University with the support of the British Consulate General Melbourne. This dynamic program is designed to empower women at different career stages with the skills, networks and mindset to develop and achieve their career goals within STEM industries.
