veski inspiring women industry intern
In July 2016, Bipasha Kashyap was awarded a veski inspiring women industry internship over four months. She is working full time and applying her electronics and software engineering experience in India and Australia to support the ARRB Group, which provides research, consulting and information services to the road and transport industry from its base in Vermont South.
Bipasha, a Masters of Engineering Professional (Electronics and Management) postgraduate from Deakin University and engineering graduate from GIMT (under Gauhati University), India, is working on two projects.
Bipasha is improving power distribution systems for road surveying devices in cars so that they work efficiently, employ smart technologies and reduce costs.
She is also adapting commercial 3D laser sensors to scan, measure and collect selected road surface data, and assessing their performance.
Bipasha has worked as a software engineer in Tech Mahindra, India and has volunteered as a student ambassador at Deakin University.
veski inspiring women industry internships are managed by veski with the support of the Office of the Lead Scientist, industry and academic partners.
Working closely with the interns and their hosting companies, veski coordinates reporting, promotion and a masterclass series to underpin the veski inspiring women internships.
