L'Oreal For Women in Science Fellowships 2014

13 August

The 8th annual L’Oréal For Women In Science Fellowships announcement was held on Tuesday, 12 August 2014 with three promising Victorian early-career scientists being recognised.

The National L'Oréal For Women in Science Fellowship grants fellowships of AUD$25,000 each to support recipients in their specialist areas of research. These fellowships offer a critical support platform for women in the industry and enable fellows to develop as independent scientists.

The program is a long-term committment from the L’Oréal Foundation to supporting women scientists throughout the main stages of their careers: as doctoral students and post-docs and as well as eminent role models. From biodiversity, to genetic breakthroughts, to finding cures for disease, the fellowships recognise the extraordinary contribution female scientists make to our world and aim to inspire today's young women to become tomorrow's experts.

veski congratulates Dr Elena Tucker from the Murdoch Childrens Research Insitute, Dr Vanessa Kellermann from Monash University and Dr Cara Doherty from CSIRO, on their contribution to science and innovation in Victoria and we wish them every success throughout the continuation of their careers.
