HealthTech Innovation Callenge
6 September
The Graeme Clark Institute for Biomedical Engineering and the Melbourne Academic Centre for Health (MACH) have announced the Inaugural HealthTech Innovation Challenge, with four cash prizes of $20,000 each to develop technologies used to prevent, diagnose, monitor or treat disease or medical conditions. The Innovation challenge promotes STEMM-based interdisciplinary research and fosters the translation of research with applications that will lead to improvements in health outcomes.
The deadline for applications is Sunday, 8 October 2017. Detailed guidelines for the submission can be found at the Graeme Clark Institute website.
HealthTech categories relevant to the Challenge are:
- Medical devices;
- Diagnostics;
- Assistive technology;
- Digital health including mobile health, and;
- Technology that supports drug discovery and development, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Applications must include investigators from at least two MACH partner organisations. The 18 MACH partner organisations can be found here.
Applications with an industry partner and/or cash contribution will be viewed favourably.
If you are a researcher or investigator at one of the partner institutions consider this opportunity to apply for the cash prizes. If you are from a business in one of the target categories you should explore this opportunity to collaborate with the research community to advance your technology idea.
