Dr Beth Allison
Leading the Way participant
Senior Postdoctoral Scientist
Hudson Institute of Medical Research
Dr Allison is a vascular physiologist with a background in fetal physiology aiming to characterise physiology of sub-optimal pregnancies. After completing her PhD in 2008, she completed postdoctoral training at the University of Cambridge and Monash University. To date, she has published 51 articles and 2 book chapters, with a current H-index of 21 and >1100 citations.
Beth has obtained funding totalling >$2.2M and been awarded eleven competitive research awards totalling >$27,000. She has expertise in physiological recordings in chronically instrumented fetal sheep as well as in vitro techniques such as wire myography and langendorff.

The inspiring women STEM sidebyside program is an initiative to support women in the STEM industries that is led by veski and Monash University with the support of the British Consulate General Melbourne. This dynamic program is designed to empower women at different career stages with the skills, networks and mindset to develop and achieve their career goals within STEM industries.
