Dr Renée Webster

Defence Science and Technology Group

Dr Renée Webster graduated with a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Chemistry from the University of Western Australia in 2005 and obtained a PhD from Monash University in 2017. Her PhD research focussed on the characterisation of trace oxygenated molecules in aviation and maritime fuels. She has professional experience in a range of chemistry disciplines including environmental, food, forensic and fuel science.

Renée is currently a research chemist at the Defence Science and Technology Group, specialising in the application of advanced chromatographic and spectrometric techniques to defence and national security.

About the program

The inspiring women STEM sidebyside program is an initiative to support women in the STEM industries that is led by veski and Monash University with the support of the British Consulate General Melbourne. This dynamic program is designed to empower women at different career stages with the skills, networks and mindset to develop and achieve their career goals within STEM industries.
