Leading Self with Courage
5 July
On Monday, 18 June 2018, Ms Dina Pozzo, Founder and Director, insium pty ltd delivered a workshop titled “Leading Self with Courage” as part of the second session for the inspiring women STEM sidebyside program at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The 30 Leading the Way and 10 Stamina stream women had the opportunity to discover their past courageous acts to lead self courageously in the future.

Ms Pozzo began the workshop with an ice-breaking activity providing an opportunity for participants to initiate communication and create an environment where participants are comfortable in sharing their stories.

Keala Settle’s This is Me rehearsal footage – added to the atmosphere a feeling of empowerment and support – allowing the participants to visualize a formula to be courageous.
Ms Pozzo then requested all participants to keep their humility to the side and reflect upon a Valued Contribution – a courageous act – they have made in their careers. Participants explored their past and shared their stories with a partner to better understand that even the smallest of acts carried out on a day-to-day basis are valuable.

The session concluded with the participants writing down one learning or validation about themselves from the session, which will allow them to lead courageously in the future.
