CEO Appointed at Australian Nano Business Forum

Australia’s peak nanotechnology industry body has announced the appointment of its inaugural CEO. Ms Tina Rankovic started at the Australian Nano Business Forum (“ANBF”) in December.

Originally, from South Australia, Tina Rankovic is a senior executive with a strong business and technical background. She studied applied science at Flinders University and holds a Graduate Diploma of Management from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and a Master of Business degree, majoring in innovation and marketing management, from the Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship at Swinburne University of Technology. Ms Rankovic’s early career was in pharmaceutical and medical devices, and she was the inaugural Head of Commercialisation at the Baker Heart Research Institute in Melbourne from 2002 to early 2005.

She was most recently the Director, Commercialisation - Life and Physical Sciences for Monash Commercial, the commercialisation vehicle for Monash University. During her business career, Ms Rankovic has also lived and worked in Sydney and Auckland.

Nanotechnology Victoria CEO and ANBF Director Dr Peter Binks welcomed Tina Rankovic’s appointment; “Tina is an outstanding executive with a good knowledge of nanotechnology and its major end-use markets. She understands how manufacturing and distribution businesses work, and will play a major role in coordinating the industry and giving it a voice on policy and international marketing”.

The CEO and Board of ANBF are currently finalizing its package of membership services.
