The Victorian Gender Equality Strategy will consider the barriers faced by Victorian women throughout their lives, to guide actions and priorities to promote women’s leadership, economic security, safety, health and wellbeing, and civic participation across all areas of society.  

A Victorian Gender Equality Strategy Paper has been developed to guide a conversation on the key challenges and opportunities that gender equality presents. For more details click Here

How You Can Participate

1. Make A Submission

Submissions can be delivered in long form, short, sharp and delivered via social media. The choice is yours. Simply click below to download a copy of our handy social media submission template and use the #vicforwomen hashtag online to make your submission.

2. Host A Gender Equality Forum

In your organisation and communities, bring Victorian women together to discuss your ideas. 

In January the Australian Education Union hosted a forum with women teachers, students and advocates to help shape their submission.

The inspiring women STEM sidebyside program is an initiative to support women in the STEM industries that is led by veski and Monash University with the support of the British Consulate General Melbourne. This dynamic program is designed to empower women at different career stages with the skills, networks and mindset to develop and achieve their career goals within STEM industries.
