veski welcomes new board directors

Three additional board members have joined the veski Board bringing a breadth of scientific and business experience.

We welcome them and wish them well in helping veski to advance its endeavours.

Our new Directors are:

Mr. Tony Sweeney, the Chief Executive of the Australian Centre for the Moving Image, ACMI.

Mr. Sweeney moved to Australia from the UK in 2004 and has a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Electronics, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in the UK. He has an international reputation in the fields of film, television, education and new media, and wide experience as an innovator and driver of the relationship between the arts, creativity, technology and a variety of audiences.

Professor Christina Mitchell is Head of School of Biomedical Sciences at Monash University.

Professor Mitchell trained as a physician scientist specialising in clinical haematology. Professor Mitchell is a member of the scientific committee for the Anti-Cancer Council of Victoria (2001-2007), the NHMRC Research Fellowship Committee (2005-2007) and a member of the Victorian State Government Science and Biotechnology Advisory Committee.

Mr. Lewis Johnson is currently an Advisor with Bell Potter Securities Limited - a Member Firm of the ASX - and a Director of Bell Asset Management Ltd.

Mr Johnson has had over 35 years experience in all Australian and International investment sectors, involving institutional investment / funds management, development banking (corporate / project finance, private equity / venture capital), property, and stock broking. He has been a member of numerous investment committees, advisory and corporate boards, and a director of several Not for Profit organisations.
