Patricia O'Rourke

Professor Patricia O’Rourke has more than 20 years experience in the health care industry and has advanced from Practice Nurse to Chief Executive Officer in one of Australia’s most renowned tertiary health providers.
As the Chief Executive Officer, Professor O’Rourke is responsible for the overall leadership and management of St Vincent’s public hospitals in Australia.
With her combination of strong clinical expertise and an effective leadership style, Patricia is actively involved with governance boards, respected academic institutions and external health providers, both within Australia and internationally.
After graduating as a Registered Nurse, Patricia completed a Bachelor of Applied Sciences at Deakin University. She continues to be committed to education and professional development and has recently completed a Harvard Business School Leadership Program.
Patricia served on the veski board from 2014 to 2017. She also serves as a Director on the Boards of St Vincent's Institute of Medical Research and the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, and holds key roles within many other boards and committees in NSW and Victoria.
Patricia is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of the Harvard Business Club of Australia.
