2016 veski connection with Amir Eldad

On Thursday, 27 October 2016, veski hosted Mr. Amir Eldad of A2E Partners, an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Builder, to provide the keynote address - Melbourne: A Leading Global Entrepreneurship Hub.

The 2016 veski connection event held at Deakin Edge brought together an exclusive and prestigious group of the brightest minds in Melbourne including entrepreneurs, start-up’s, industry, Government, academia, and media to hear how Melbourne’s vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem can be developed further and marketed so that multinationals are compelled to invest here.

Leveraging his global experience, Mr Eldad was able to strike up a conversation on the strengths, weaknesses and opportunities available for entrepreneurs to succeed – supporting and developing the infrastructure for new start-ups and allowing established small and medium enterprises to ‘scale-up’ through an international-connected ecosystem.

Inspired by Sir John Monash, a role model for global leadership and an innovative thinker from his time, Amir reinforced that for a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem, the regional and state planners need to find the right balance between innovation and entrepreneurship while taking into consideration challenges faced by Melbourne - the entrepreneurial mindset, the global mindset and risk capital.
