Polly Holtby

STEM sidebyside founding partner

After completing a BSc(Hons) in Chemistry with Industrial Experience at Manchester University, including a year-long industrial placement with Dow Chemicals in Germany, Polly joined Procter and Gamble in Belgium, working in upstream product development in their Fabric & Homecare Division. She later moved to their Healthcare Division, based in the UK, managing both upstream product development and market delivery projects.

Following an extended career gap caring for her children and living in Belgium and the UK, Polly worked in financial management for Lighthouse Global, a London firm of management consultants, before moving to Estonia and then to Australia.

Polly enjoys community involvement to help her embed in each place she lives, and has held a range of roles such as President of the school Parents’ Association and Treasurer of the International Women’s Club of Estonia.

She is now a co-founder of the STEM sidebyside program - led by veski in conjunction with Monash University, supported by the British Consulate General Melbourne - to promote and support career development for Women in STEM. She is also a member of the program’s strategic development and delivery panel.
